Breaking on CNN a few minutes ago.
1 plane down in neighborhood, status of pilot or occupants unknown at this time.
1.) Virginia Tech shootings
2.) NASA Johnson Space Flight Center shooting
3.) Blue Angels crash
They’ll get their butts sued big time one day......
This may be a small thing, but the FNC infobabe seemed obsessed with finding out if the pilot was male or female. She must have mentioned “we don’t know if it’s a male or female yet” 4 times in 3 minutes. Drove me crazy. A pilots dead. Who cares about the sex?

Blue Angels jet crashes during air show

(CNN) — A jet flying in formation with the U.S. Navy Blue Angels precision flying team crashed Saturday during an air show near Beaufort, South Carolina, authorities said.
“I was told [the pilot] was alive, but I can’t confirm that,” a South Carolina state trooper speaking on condition of anonymity told CNN.
The officer said he and other state troopers were assisting the Marine Corps air station, which was putting on the show, by rerouting traffic around the crash site — “which is said to not be around any houses — so they can get the pilot out.”
Several hospitals said they had received no casualties.
Eyewitness Gerald Popp said the six jets had been flying for about five minutes before one of them turned south, toward the Broad River.
“I saw him go down lower than the trees, and next I saw a big black, cloud of smoke,” said Popp, who lives in Beaufort.
CNN meteorologists said the weather in Beaufort, which is near Savannah, was clear today.

So many differnt stories.
It’s because they keep saying ‘he’ and she is trying to make it clear that they don’t know for sure if it’s a ‘he’ or not. IMO Julie Banderas is one of the best on Fox.

The eyewitness on the ground talking to Cnn, Fred, sounded pretty credible,, altho Cnn leaves a bit more than a bit to be desired in covering the incident.

I don’t believe that there is a female with the Angels. There is a female pilot with the Thunderbirds. LT Gretchen Doane is the AO of the Blue Angels - but I don’t think she flies.
There is no way that a Blue Angel any military pilot would eject without steering the airplane away from homes.

Not just the Blue Angels. We had a Marine F-4 drill in a couple of hundred yards from a school in Japan when I was there. Pilot and RIO still aboard.
They were in Corpus Christi just last week.
That’s what I thought, and the team website is pretty clear that there are no female pilots. I just found it irrelevant to the main story.
I was responding to a single incident. But you are correct.
