as you've been told at least TWICE on-forum, POTUS John F. Kennedy in February 1961 requested that SC fly the flag in memory of the HONORED Confederate dead of the WBTS. it had NOTHING whatever to do (as you KNOW) with race then/NOW.

frankly, what you posted is either FALSE ( because you're too clueLESS to know the TRUTH) or a KNOWING LIE.

Yeah, he was appealing to the Southern racists in his party. It was a terrible decision. The Confederate flag symoblizes racism, slavery, and has no place in a country that was consecreated to freedom.
