What would be no big deal for an adult or even a teenage boy could be devastatingly mortifying for an 11 year old girl.

Thank you for explaining what he said about her on Letterman. It does sound like he is insensitive to how she might feel about his crude jokes.

No problem, just thought it might be a piece of the public puzzle. You know, it may or may not be related to why she didn’t pick up the phone.

But if she is treated like the phone call in private, then talked about the way she was on Larry King show (clip also at tmz)...and then ridiculed a bit on the Letterman show...I can see where it would just be easier not to talk to the guy.

In any case, thanks for your post 167. Think it explains a lot about what may be going on here.

I just watched the Letterman clip on www.tmz.com. I am shocked. He was MOCKING his little girl's doing her dance moves in a store while they waited in line! I am sorry, but that stuff is so charming and sweet and part of who they are. My son is constantly in handstands everywhere and I love it. I treasure my son practicing what he loves. Baldwin finds it somehow offensive. I can only shake my head. Mocking her over this on NATIONAL TV. The poor girl.
