I hate no one, and maybe you didn’t read my post, but only looked. I would not have made fun of them, but would have opened myself to the ridicule of their friends, which would have been behind my back, and whose opinions meant less than nothing to me. my ex-wife once told me my 14 year old daughter had “a right to a life of her own”. I told her she had the right to whatever life I let her have.
That's certainly an "interesting" approach to parenting. How did that work out for you?

There is a significant difference between teasing and embarrassing and humiliation.
A subtle difference, but in the context of this conversation I believe a crucial one.
