He even billed his campaign fund ? “

Yes, he did.
Ergo: Edwards is a LIAR.

He got two haircuts ar the same price, and he billed the campaign. How do you do it twice and not know how much money is spent?

Is this a legitimate charge to the campaign? Wouldn’t he be getting his hair cut even if he was not running for office???

There really are 2 Americas, and Edwards and his wife are at the top of the heap on the side where most of us will never live.

We pay for our own haircuts.

We do not have a non profit foundation nor a campaign fund to charge haircuts or anything else.

What’s that old adage? If you have to ask you can’t afford it?

Well, that about sums it up.

Indeed, the barber/stylist claimed that he and Edwards were "old friends" and that he'd been servicing the Senator's tresses for some time.

So, the only thing that was new in the entire story was that Edwards had billed the coifs to his campaign account.

Embarrassed, my ass. Embarrassed that he got caught -- nothing more.

His hair style IS the campaign.

To be fair, I wouldn’t expect him — or George Bush — to know how much his haircuts cost. When you’re campaigning for major political office, or already in one, or a senior executive of a big corporation who has to be flying around the world on business constantly, you have somebody arrange to get you a haircut appointment and that somebody pays with a campaign/company credit card and gets the receipt to a secretary, and eventually a junior accountant notes the expense in the books. It would be nice if Edwards’ “somebodys” were the sort who’d find a different barber next time if the first one charged $400, but Edwards himself probably learned the cost of his haircut from the media.
