John Edwards said he’s embarrassed about his now famous $400 haircut.
Campaign finance records show that Edwards’ campaign paid a Beverly Hills stylist $400 for his haircuts. Those pricey snips have undercut Edwards’ image as a populist crusading for the little guy.
“It’s a ridiculous amount of money for a haircut,” Edwards told reporters after a campaign stop on Adel’s town square. “I’m actually embarrassed by it.
“This guy had to come to where I was to get a haircut. I knew it’d be expensive. I didn’t know it would be that expensive. Hopefully I’ll have enough sense not to do that again.”
Edwards rejected the notion that his haircuts don’t jibe with his campaign message...

Oh, my gosh! Has he NO shame?? What does he mean, he won’t do it again. He’s already done it twice, and doing it a second time, there’s NO way he’ll EVER convince me he didn’t know it was going to be so expensive, again. What an arrogant jerk!

Edwards has made a ton of money, but he’s still STUPID.
My Bride cuts my hair. Over 35 years ago, it was because I couldn’t afford to spend money at the barber.
Then it was because I am of Scottish heritage, thus I will always try to squeeze a dollar out of a penny. ($400 for a haircut is flat out STUPID and not knowing what a service is going to cost you is just as STUPID, perhaps even more so).
Today, it’s mostly because I don’t give a hoot....folks either love me or hate me and I doubt that it has much to do with who cuts my hair. I could be a multibillionaire and I would still look for the inexpensive haircut.
Besides, my Bride is quite good at it. ;)

Just like spending our tax dollars on their liberal causes are ‘free.’
Indeed, the barber/stylist claimed that he and Edwards were "old friends" and that he'd been servicing the Senator's tresses for some time.
So, the only thing that was new in the entire story was that Edwards had billed the coifs to his campaign account.

Only a Democrat like Edwards would be so tone deaf as to
a) go to a spa in the first place and
b)go to one with Pink and Sapphire in the title.
In my world, ( the other America ) real men don’t go to spas.
I bet his “ rabid, rabid Republican “ gun owning neighbor has never set foot in a spa.
My money’s on Edwards having the “ $25 “socialite” makeup do for a night on the town. “
