I thought you were reporting , what was on the news. The usual what ifs. Anyway, I don’t think there is an answer to that. They do the best they can under the circumstances. If someone dies during the rescue, it is the shooters doing. IMO, all that is going to help, is an even field. We need no restrictions, anywhere for CCWs and someone needs to be armed in areas of large groups of people. The blame has got to be placed with the killers though. It isn’t the parents, the school, or even the medias fault. People are dieing because evil people are shooting them and because our government leaders won’t let us protect ourselves.

I don't blame anybody for the murders except the murderers. And I am in total agreement that the Second Amendment is the best way to deter whackjobs. Two things are evident. The first is that police can not protect anybody from a bound and determined killer. The second is that killers love gun free zones.

The lesson I am trying to get across is that your life is in your hands in these situations, you can't rely on quick response of police units because for logistical reasons alone they just are not fast enough to react.

No police bashing or criminal coddling here but the public still should know whether or not the murdered hostage died immediately or from blood loss. It helps them make better decisions in similar situations.
