The Arab League chose Egypt and Jordan to take the lead in approaching Israel to promote the Saudi-drafted peace plan in a bid to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Israel has praised the broad land-for peace offer but has said it will not accept the plan without some changes. However, Arab countries are hoping to pitch the plan as a basis for resuming Arab-Israeli peace negotiations. Washington has also welcomed the Arab initiative, which calls for Israel to withdraw from lands seized in 1967 and negotiate a fair solution to the refugee issue in return for full recognition of Israel by all Arab countries. The plan was introduced by Saudi Arabia in 2002 and revived during an Arab summit in Riyadh last month...
Israel didn’t seize land in 1967. You LOST it! You see, there are consequences for losing a war you started. If you Arabs had won, would you really be looking to give Jews back Jerusalem?
What about the silly “right of return”? Have they dropped that non-starter?
7 years of peace?
“IN WAR, NEVER TIE YOUR HANDS WITH CONSIDERATIONS OF FORMALITY. IT IS RIDICULOUS NOT TO KNOW THAT A TREATY IS A MEANS OF GAINING STRENGTH ... TREATIES ARE LIKE PIE CRUST -
MADE TO BE BROKEN.”
Allowing the return of the Palestinians who CHOSE to leave - is a non-starter. To allow them to return with all their hugely increased numbers (millions) spells the end of Israel as a Promised Land for the Jews.
In all the world the Jews have this one tiny spot they can call home. The Arabs/moslems have 57 countries.
The Palestinians were not forced to leave when Israel declared independent and when all the Arab countries attacked Israel. Arab leaders told the Palestinians to leave. Many stayed and have become Israeli citizens.
In all these decades what have the Palestinians accomplished in their areas of the West Bank and and Gaza? Where are their indusries? Their infrastructure? Their universities? Their research and development? Their tourism industry? Their industrial farms?
It hasn’t been a lack of money - they’ve received billions over the years. It isn’t a lack of climate or coastline or agricultural land - they share the same climate, coastline and fertility.
The second non-starter is taking Jerusalem.
Originally the UN partitioned Jerusalem with the priviso that each religion would be allowed to visit and celebrate its holy places. But when the Arabs controlled it, they wouldn’t allow the Jews to approach the Temple Wall.
This changed when the Israeli army reconquered the old city after the war STARTED BY THE ARABS. Israel has NEVER kept the moslems from the temple mount mosque.
So, there are two non-starters: allowing the Palestinians to return which would demographically overwhelm Israel or giving them Jerusalem.
But - no matter what the Arabs offer or say - their holy book - the koran - tells them to lie to infidels.
Would you make a treaty with them?

Yeah, right. This is what is best termed a “peace offensive”, a.k.a. part of the hudna. Well, the latest hudna ended when Hamas shot off 80 missiles.
Hamas’ military wing fire 80 projectiles into southern Israel
