I just don’t understand the Ishmael bit. My ex-Korean sister-in-law took such offense if people called her Japanese, Chinese, Vietmanese, etc. Much like Scottish people don’t want to be clumped together with the Irish. Similar but not exact. Again, the Ishmael is odd to say the least nopardons.

Oh yes, I know that Koreans get quite upset, when an American calls them Japanese or some other Asian name. My daughter went to school with some Americas of Korean descent and I heard about this, from the children's parents.
Cho was a "game player" ( in the sense that he was playing a role, in real life ) and sent cryptic, puzzle messages to people's phones. And nobody who got these messages, could ever figure out what they meant.
