You would think so, but I’ll bet this falls under some medical privacy situation.
My recollection from reading the NICS forms is that the disqualifier is being *adjudicated in a court of law* to be mentally ill within the last 3 or 5 years (??).
Not going to a marriage counselor of taking Ambien for sleeping.
Court adjudication of mental illness should be entered into NICS records.
Why didn;t that happen?
