I was thinking the same thing - the original Ismail regarding the arm (which is based on an unnamed law enforcement source) could simply have been a misreading. I can’t believe whatever was written was written neatly.

Interesting take. Actually I think it would be great if from now on we ridicule the appearance, clothing, IQ, and actions of every person who commits these acts. Let them know they won't end up with the macho notoriety that they desire.
There is some similarity but there’s a great deal of difference between narcissism and what this perp did.

Yet if an islamic terrorist was arrested in the US and tried an insanity defense, you'd likely throw a fit.
You can be perfectly sane and perfectly evil. It's just that studies of suicide bombers (most Palestinian, I believe) have found that most generally free of mental problems, have all their faculties, and know exactly what they're doing.
What is idiotic is the cliched portraying of all Islamic terrorists as insane nutjobs.
Bin Laden, Zahawari - I'm sure all these guys are perfectly sane. They're also perfectly evil. To simply dismiss them as nutjobs actually doesn't do full justice to their evil.
