VA Tech was a “gun free” zone. Even security there wasn’t allowed to have a gun.

Why are liberals so silly?

If someone there, had a gun, 33 people may NOT be dead today. WHY do they insist on leaving people defenseless? Sitting ducks for a nut case?

“Hey, I have a great idea: Let’s disarm the folks who could best prevent a maniac like the one at VA Tech from committing a similar massacre right here in Louisiana! Yeah, that’s the ticket.” - State Rep. Rick Gallot

I wonder if this is why Sen. Reid made the plea to hold off on a rush to legislate, that Reid knew that bills such as this one in Louisiana would get people thinking. Reid must have some strong polling data that the issue is a loser for the gun control advocates. As Egon points out, VT was a gun-free zone.

No No No No No No No No No!!!

What you do is you teach all college kids how to carry and use a gun. Start a defense class, teach’m how to use a gun the right way.

Liberals are just cowards.

Why not do something useful, like outlawing major storms? Major storms impinging on the territory of Louisiana would be subject to fines and imprisonment, depending upon the severity of the damage; and enhancements depending upon whether lives were lost.

How about banning psychos on campus ?
The gun ban worked in VA-on a campus of 28,000 students and hundreds of professors and ancillary personnel , excluding LE -only one person had a gun.
Just one.
The gun control advocates couldn’t ask for a better statistic.
I think the dialogue should be about how we deal with the mentally ill .
Are less mental patients being confined to institutions because of the hope that new meds can better treat the problem ?
Have our legislators and judges made it harder to commit the mentally ill ?
Is the fear of a lawsuit or political correctness causing more mentally ill to roam free ?

Yeah, since it worked so well in Virginia, why don’t you try it in Louisiana too?

Wouldn’t it be more effective passing a law that prevents murders on college campuses?

Of course, as we all know, someone intent upon going onto a campus and shooting people would never think of violating a law against them taking a gun onto campus to do it.

Gallot hates Louisana students as much as Virginia hates their students.
