Bernard Goldberg’s new book is called, “Crazies to the Left of Me, Wimps to the Right: How One Side Lost Its Mind and the Other Lost Its Nerve”

Not with President Giuliani.

Not only is everything you said paranoia...it’s hyperbolic paranoia.

New York City is a better place in the wake of the Giuliani administration. By any measure.

the Republican “brand name” is fading fast - send up your run of the mill punch card issue Republican candidate in 2008, Hillary wins.

Even Rush now is saying it, he can’t be too vocal about it because Rush doesn’t like Rudy, and he doesn’t want to lose 25% of his audience overnight. But he also can’t ignore what I am sure the RNC insiders are telling him about Republican chances in 2008.

fear is a great motivator sometimes. its not the most noble emotion, but it can be effective.

When you take money from Hugo, you do Hugo’s bidding. Rudy claims it was all about jobs but that’s just an botched effort at populism. Sorry, appealing to the peanut gallery won’t help here. Every compensated service of value to Hugo strengthens Hugo, otherwise he would not pay. Why doesn’t Rudy just forego that contract as anyone decent might?

The problem is this: Rudy DOESN’T THINK Hugo is a problem.

And just because YOU are late to awareness of Hugo and make claims that Hugo only got bad recently, don’t think he was. Hugo Chavez has been attacking America since 1998 and Rudy should have known this. He didn’t just get bad lately. Hugo’s efforts have risen sharply since 2002 and he has a vast propaganda budget being used to subvert America and win over ghetto dwellers through Cheap Oil. That’s a long long time to learn about what Hugo’s game is.

The whole thing stinks. Nobody should take Hugo’s money. You take the king’s penny you do the king’s bidding.

Defending conservative values, per the website's mission statement as written by the man you just posted your smarmy reply to is "paranoia?"

the desire to defeat Hillary and Bill Clinton - is a conservative value. one of the most important ones really.

Don’t fool yourself. There’s nothing noble or effective in caving to liberalism. Period.

Giuliani on Flat Tax: Just Kidding

Rudy Giuliani, fresh off winning the endorsement of Steve Forbes, now says he was just kidding when he said he thought the flat tax was a good idea.

“I didn’t favor it, I said something academic,” Giuliani said at a press conference in Florida on Saturday, in response to a reporter asking him why he had switched from opposing a flat tax to favoring it. “What I said was, and it was not a joke, but it was half-jocular, was if we didn’t have an income tax...what would I favor?

“First I would favor no tax,” he said laughing and turning to his wife Judith, who duly smiled back. “That would be my first position. My second position would probably be a flat tax.”

But, he said, the tax “would probably not be feasible.”

Someone should tell Forbes.

Come on! He was funny in drag. You want to tell me that McCain doesn’t like to put a dress on every once in a while and reminisce about the good ole days and impersonate Jane Fonda just to spite her?

Nominating an equal or slightly lesser liberal running as a Republican is not the way to do it.

“While I disagree with him in certain areas—I am pro-life, and he is pro-choice—he has made it abundantly clear that he would appoint John Roberts/Samuel Alito-type judges to the federal bench.”

Bull crap!!! There is no way in Haddes that I would take an abortion supporter at their word!

I am seriously disappointed in Steve Forbes. I want tax cuts and deregulation, too, but not at the expense of innocent babies! Shame on him!!

Forbes is a shrewed business man. In his position he can’t afford to misjudge people and he doesn’t.
