"On this day of national tragedy, when we lost some of our finest to a senseless act, we stand together as a country to mourn those who lost their lives.
"My thoughts and prayers continue to be with the survivors and the many friends, colleagues and family members of those who perished. May God bless them all."
-Rudy Giuliani

Yeah, facts are a thread killer.
LOL
The level of hate is amazing, worse than the Kos-Tards and Moonbats.
“Why post a statement from him?”
He’s a prominent national public figure, an icon from 9/11, and a current presidential candidate.
“What did he have to do with it?”
Nothing directly but there is nothing wrong with any prominent public figure issuing a statement.
“If you wanted people to post statements saying, “I join in prayer for these people and their families”, then why not just post a statement from yourself saying that you were praying for the students and families?”
Many have posted these sentiments in many different threads.
“I guess people are confused as to what would have been the point of posting a statement from someone who had nothing to do with the situation, if it were not to put in a “plug” for that person.”
No, many are attacking Rudy’s politics at a very inappropriate time. He issued a sympathy statement and that’s all there was to it. The decent, respectable thing would have been to say, “I don’t support Rudy’s presidential bid but I agree with the sentiments of his sympathy statement and I too am praying for the victims and their families”.
I’ve cut back on posting on this site just because I can’t handle all this crap all the time. I’ve got another site where I can post that has decent and respectable people.
I’d say standing up against anti-gun candidates after an event like this is the proper kind of respect to show. Thank you, V.
I’ve been here since 2000 and IMO, the only contemporary political figures more polarizing than Guiliani are the Clintons.
