Virginia Military Institute has the cadet corps. Virginia Tech is the university with an engineering focus. Two different schools.

Virginia Tech does have a Corps of Cadets. We used them at Radford Army Ammunition Plant for some events.

Virginia Tech has a Corps of Cadets as well (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virginia_Tech_Corps_of_Cadets). The University started life as the Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical Institute in 1872, and has a distinctly military flavor in its architecture.

I beg to differ. I was a member of the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets, E-94.

VMI also has a cadet corps, but Tech's coexists beside the school's civilian population.
