Alia, I get your point, but when the President of the University was on with Geraldo earlier this morning, he said the police thought it was a murder/suicide.Seems to me that would have been ruled out if no weapon was found at the scene of the deaths in the dorm.

He also said the dorm room was a mess and it took time to determine the gun was not there. And then, the shooting started in the second building.

Unless the dorm shooter had an accomplice who picked up the gun - and subsequently used it.

Exactly. A gun always remains nearby in a murder/suicide simply because it has to. The absence of a gun should have told university officials, LEO’s, etc. ‘Hey, the perp is still on the loose.’

"Murder/suicide" -- sounds like a general statement to assign to both the shooting instances.

IOW, the VA President and the police are getting peppered en masse with demands for answers from every corner imaginable and are doing everything possible to provide for those demands but without undue speculation.

And, it looks, about now, that the speculation (murder/suicide) is provable in part, but is not yet complete with investigatory information.

That takes time, and meanwhile FR and the MSM are so quick with those triggers in demanding answers, it's probably best for officials in VA to simply shut down, a bit, in order to slow down a run-away horse named "out of control" and logistically unreasonable demands for answers.
