His behavior, to me, certainly qualifies as “unhinged.” I guess you’re right in the sense that he probably didn’t set out to terrorize people, but I think he did nonetheless.
When somebody says "terrorize" or "terrorist" I tend to think along military/political terms, not somebody who snaps or hates the world and wants to take a few people with him.
If anybody has any links, I'd be curious to read about people like Whitman and the Colombine kids, etc., who snap and yet are rational enough to plan out all kinds of scenarios and prepare to kill as many as possible before they are killed or suicide. It's just bizarre to think about being so psycho as to do this, and yet plan it out, write about it in advance, etc.
On another note, Fred Phelps has decided his little inbred clan of merry followers should
protest at the funerals of the VT dead (godhatesamerica.com). As much as they've protested at the funerals of soldiers, I figured one of these days they'll get in over their head, and this will probably be it.
