He’s a great leader for Tech. I hope they don’t make him the scapegoat
OH, I’m so glad to hear you say that! I liked his voice, his mannerisms, and he said he had spent his whole career at Va Tech. So am glad to hear you say he is a great leader for Va. Tech. I hope they don’t make him the scapegoat too. I feel sorry for the police guy also - he was clearly affected - like he wanted to throw up. No matter what, I know he is hurting tonight because so many did die and because he saw the rooms with all the bodies and he is surely questioning his own department’s and his own personal decisions today. And he said he had spoken to parents of victims and I know that is terribly hard. I would guess he might retire after all this if he can.
I’ve been wondering what VT people thought of Steger. He came across as unfeeling and arrogant to me, although not incompetent, at least before the cameras. That VP of university relations, Larry?, struck me as being out of his pay grade. What did Steger teach before he became president?
Appy --, whats you're opinion on Director Hincker's comment, and on the handgun bill that was defeated last year?
"--- Larry Hincker was happy to hear the bill was defeated. "I'm sure the university community is appreciative of the General Assembly's actions because this will help parents, students, faculty and visitors feel safe on our campus. --"
