I haven’t been able to keep up as I’m at work, but... are we sure the gunman chained the doors shut? Or were the doors chained shut because the campus was on lockdown from the earlier shooting? (Does lockdown mean the campus would chain the doors to the building shut?)

I don’t think campus would chain doors shut. Here on my campus you can get impaled for obstructing exits. Even in lockdown that is not something we profs can do.
Think of the liability issues in fire/shooter where kids ran but couldn’t escape becuse someone chained doors.

Nope- the info about the doors being chained was released by the police at both news conerences. They said the shooter chained the doors.
I may be mistaken- but I don’t think the school ever went on offical lockdown.
Someone correct me if I’m wrong?
