You can't make sense of it because we are not being given a coherent story. It is not clear whether they don't have a coherent understanding of what happened or are covering up something.

Hopefully some really sharp Freepers will figure out this case and explain it to the rest of us. :-)

I didn’t hear tonight’s presser, but I heard the one this afternoon. They made the same comments about “two separate incidents”. To give the guys a (really undeserved) break, I thought it possible they were saying they were treating the two crime scenes as two separate investigations. Since they hadn’t CONFIRMED that it was the same shooter, they were simply refusing to say there was only one guy. If that’s the word game they’re playing, it’s pretty lame.

Did he really say tonight that a POI is still at large?
