Peres tells Olmert he doesn’t see himself as prime minister candidate

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert met with Vice Premier Shimon Peres to discuss the upcoming presidential elections.
Peres told Olmert that he did not see himself as a candidate for prime minister. Earlier, Peres met with MK Avigdor Itzchaky (Kadima), who promised to look into Peres’ change of being elected president. (Attila Somfalvi)

Them in Israel who think they can get Peres to be PM seem to forget he really, really wants to be President, instead. I suspect that job has far, far fewer headaches.
Wish someone would have told Olmerde the same thing some time ago.....I know he rode Sharon’s coattails but he’s become quite the expensive tail (end). Hiya.
