We are fortunate that we can vote them into extinction.

They all need to be tarred and feathered, then peeled like bananas.

According to Dictionary.com: Treason is any attempt to overthrow the government

Which doesn't mean a damn thing. I stopped reading there. The only thing that matters is the definition in the Constitution.

Amen, sister—tell it! And where, I would like to know, is the Republican congressional leadership on this issue? Why are they not calling for the impeachment—for treason—of Nancy Pelosi?

Thank you for posting this.

I am mad as hell at those who would hide under their bedsheets and wish the world into a happy place while the wolf howls at the door.

People who see the world so simply need to get out in parts of the world they don’t like to talk about at “Save-the-Gay-Baby-Whales” meetings and realize that there is true unadultered evil in this world.

I think about it this way:

The Islamofascists didn’t target Democrats or Republicans on 9-11-01....

They don’t care if the Soldiers or Marines they kill are black or white, man or woman, rich or poor....

They want death to America.

That means you too, Nance....

But, you are too much a fool to realize how dire these times truly are....

..and that makes me mad as hell....

Exactly. A lot of people throw the word “Treason” around to mean any position they disagree with. It is either giving intelligence to the enemy or physical attacks on the military or infrastructure. The founding fathers were well aware of the tendency of governments to try to classify as ‘treason’ anything with which they disagreed. Alger Hiss was Treason, Code Pink is some silly looking ugly women making fools of themselves.

It is the right of our fellow citizens to be against, and express their opinions against, this or any other war.

I detest the mindset that sees any disagreement as ‘treason’ or ‘moonbattery’ and resorts to shouting and name calling. I have no respect for those who use stupid demeaning forms of their opponents’ names, either.

There are only two questions that, in a better world, I’d ask Pelosi and her ilk:

Blindfold?
Cigarette?

Excerpt: "If even the anti-war, old-line media recognizes that the actions of Democrats like Perata are for purely political reasons, then how can we pretend to look the other way and not confront these awful people on what they are doing to our troops and this nation?

These Democrat leaders are literally helping to kill U.S. troops and endanger American civilians simply so they can try to score political points in the middle of a war.

BUMP!

Not sure what your point is in your post?

I tried to follow you but you wrote about CodePink which isn't mentioned in the column by Melanie Morgan, and then you wrote about people should have the right to be opposed to the war - which wasn't disagreed with either in the column or in any of the posts by the other FReepers.

So what is your point?

Where? ... Hehe, you expect action to protect our nation, out of Republicans who’ve had 'orchidectomies'? Don’t hold your breath.

You are exactly correct. The Democrats’ refusal to acknowledge reality is one of their most dangerous traits, and in itself should disqualify them for holding public office.

Pelosi's actions may not be classified as "treason", but from what I've read, they sure could be classified as a "felony".

Here's an excerpt from a WSJ article.

"The Logan Act makes it a felony and provides for a prison sentence of up to three years for any American, "without authority of the United States," to communicate with a foreign government in an effort to influence that government's behavior on any "disputes or controversies with the United States." Some background on this statute helps to understand why Ms. Pelosi may be in serious trouble."

My point is that “Treason” is a word with a specific meaning. People who misuse it do more harm than good to the conservative cause (much as Democrats who cry ‘Racism’ all the time HURT the cause of attacking it in the very rare cases it exists).
