“I’m just reacting because I’m sick of all the fascist laws making us wear seatbelts - and tired of how the liberal fascists have made even conservatives think it’s “just the right thing to do” to force people to wear them or get molested and fined.”

I am not ‘forced’ to wear a seatbelt. I do so because I am smart enough to see and understand the huge benefit derived by doing so. I also like the comfort, yes comfort, from being partially restricted.

Also, I do not want to be a paraplegic which so often happens to people who don’t wear the belt. Tremendous burden on everyone. Corzine may have been lucky but I will bet big bucks that he would have suffered far less serious injuries had he been wearing.

The rebel in your handle explains a lot. Good luck to you and your survivors.

You don’t have laws making you a criminal for not wearing a belt? Lucky you.

You can talk all you want about how safe it is, but bottom line - NOONE SHOULD MAKE ANY LAWS ABOUT SOMETHING THAT DOESN’T VIOLATE ANYONE’S RIGHTS.

Just because it’s wise, doesn’t mean it must have the force of law behind it.
