I have seen a number of these pols on Leno’s show and a lot of them look real nervous. They are public people, but most of their appearances are well staged events. A show like Leno’s, even though it doesn’t have a reputation as a gotcha type of program, still gets them way out of their comfort zone of sycophants, handlers and prepared speeches.

That’s what I read in the paper. He is going to be in CA for an Orange County Rep. Party meeting and going to hit Leno’s show before leaving town.
