I wonder if Imus will come groveling to Howard for a job on Sirius?
Maybe Imus will turn conservative?
Even if he does go to satellite, his show won't be the same. I was not a big listener of his show, but from what I did here, he had on lots of guests - politically correct guests - and I suspect that they will not be back, either because of him, or if he goes to satellite, because of the reduced audience size.
This is another battle lost in our march to the return of the Fairness Doctrine. Watch for it soon...
Stern doesn't run Sirius, Stern and Imus' old boss Mel Karmazin does.
Stern pretty much said "NFW" to that scenario this morning---and that was after Imus had just been fired by MSNBC, let alone from his radio show as well. Sounds like there's some really bad blood there still. According to Stern, Imus would go around the NBC offices and call African-American secretaries "n*ggers" (not "naggers") to their face . . . and he ratted Imus out to HR over it.
