It was just announced on the "Mike and the Mad Dog Show" on WFAN (Imus's home base): Imus is out of a job on radio as well.
He will not even be on the air tomorrow.
I have already heard on local talk radio that Imus used to have interviews with people like Newt Gingrich. I guess they want to go back to the evil Newt mantra.
I never directed the comments to prairiebreeze. The people who I am referring to know who they are. That’s all I have to say.
I think we should all e-mail Sean Hannity the following about Sharpton:
1)In 1989, a young woman jogger in Central Park was viciously raped and beaten by a gang of youths. Sharpton led a mob outside the court which claimed, without a shred of evidence, that “the boyfriend did it,” and screamed that the victim was a “whore.”
2)At a rally in Harlem, Sharpton denounced a Jewish small business owner as a “white interloper,” and then stood by approvingly while one his associates incited the crowd to violence. Later, a listener killed seven people in the store. Sharpton then lied and claimed he had never been at the rally.
3)Sharpton helped incite a murderous anti-Jewish pogrom in Brooklyn when he gave a speech at a funeral of a black child who had been accidentally killed by a Jewish driver. Sharpton announced, “If the Jews want to get it on, tell them to pin their yarmulkes back and come over to my house.” He also organized a boycott of small grocery stores owned by Korean immigrants. He called New York City’s first black mayor, David Dinkins, “that n-—— whore turning tricks in City Hall.”
4) In 1994, Sharpton explained black cultural superiority: “White folks were in caves while we were building empires. . . . We taught philosophy, astrology, and mathematics before Socrates and those Greek homos.”

And let me add something: For noticing the hypocrisy between what blacks can get away with saying and what whites can get away with saying, a freeper friend had the KKK/white sheet taunt thrown at her. So expect the worst in discussing this. Even on Free Republic.
They should have at least allow him to finish the radiothon up tomorrow. He has to be livid. It was despicable.
It is his own people that is doing him in. All the years he kissed their asses and licked their boots have availed him nothing.
The p.c.noose grows tighter and nothing is being done to stop it.
Unless the Conservatives wish to be ruled by al sharpton and jesse jackson they better take steps to nip it in the bud now.

Stern pretty much said "NFW" to that scenario this morning---and that was after Imus had just been fired by MSNBC, let alone from his radio show as well. Sounds like there's some really bad blood there still. According to Stern, Imus would go around the NBC offices and call African-American secretaries "n*ggers" (not "naggers") to their face . . . and he ratted Imus out to HR over it.

Oh, please. We all know the reason blacks can say things whites cannot say.
Blacks are considered children in society, victims who cannot help themselves and nothing they do or say is of any consequence to anybody.
Whites on the other hand are seen as the adults, those in control of society who's actions effect EVERYBODY.
All this is due to the fact that we still live in a racist society that still considers blacks as the poor little powerless victims.

Agreed. Imus was the only tv show (on PMSNBC) I recorded on my DVDR. Watched the pieces of it that I found interesting and/or funny. Skipped "chapters" or FF'd through my laptop.
I MISS IT ALREADY.
There's already an effort underway in congress.
They'll use this Imus thing a rallying point against a "misogynist culture." Couple that with Hillary's run for CIC and they'll try to get her elected by guilting women into voting for her because of gender. From the race angle, this works for Obama as well.

The good news for MSNBC...
This is MSNBC's first chance to create an original morning show.
A lot of people forget this:
Therefore, MSNBC has never had a chance for a "real" morning show like FOX & Friends, etc.
Imus In the Morning was MSNBC's morning show for nearly 11 years.
Even though I strongly disagree with MSNBC's decision on Imus, I wish them well in (hopefully) starting a great, new (watchable) morning show.
Apparently there is only a few of us.
Get ready to hear a lot more from the poverty pimp Sharpton. CBS caved and now we’ll suffer for it.
I don’t care for Don Imus at all, but this is ridiculous. Chris Rock can say any damn thing he wants, and get away with it. Imus says “nappy ho” and people act like he’s the Grand Kleagle of the frickin’ KKK.
