It was just announced on the "Mike and the Mad Dog Show" on WFAN (Imus's home base): Imus is out of a job on radio as well.
He will not even be on the air tomorrow.
Puhleez! No he won't. Well, he may be a target - always has been - but he's not getting fired from radio. Are you kidding? His audience is more than four times that of Imus.
I think he should be fired, but not like this. I would rather see him fired because no one was listening to his show.
I just read an article earlier today (don’t remember which one) that said Imus said he voted Republican. I have no clue whether that’s a lie or not.
Also, anyone who thinks this new atmosphere isn’t bad, just read Hillary’s Secret War. FR is mentioned as are other conservative web sites. It’s going to be ugly.
Most people will believe it. This whole thing proves it.
I hate Imus but I excercise the right I have always had. The use of the on off button and the tuner on my radio.
Technically he’s not on in Chicago but I never turned him on on my TV either.
He knows this, said as much today.

While I know that this is a racist conspiracy on the part of the Al and Jesse show, I really wouldn't mind seeing Rosie lose her job as 'collateral damage.'

Imus is a turd-ball commie-lib who is as bitter and negative as they come. He has said much worse about President Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Limbaugh and many many more.
Everyone should claim consistency and start going after Sharpton and Jackson for the comments they have made, and demand that they be shown the door permanently.
Not to digress, but anyone know whatever happened to the Grease Man? Used to be an FM DJ on DC101 (and syndicated too I think) until he said something offensive and got fired. I think it was something that happened in the mid 1990’s. I liked his humor.
I grew up with Imus on WNBC as a youth on Long Island. In his day he was pretty funny. And the humor wasn’t incindiary. Just good. So I was thinking about the Grease Man and how he fell off the face of the earth after his firing and how that might happen to Imus.
Although with satellite technology what it is, he probabaly will wind up on Sirius/XM.

For example, they could immediately jump on the current parodies of Jackson and Sharpton and call them racist...(it's the seriousness of the charge not the crime)
Making their voices sound 'more black' has racial overtones coming on the heels of Don Imus demise in just a week.

I almost feel sorry for Imus. ... and I stopped watching him years ago. PC POLICE HAVE ARRIVED.
