Joseph B. Cheshire V, a lawyer for one of the lacrosse players, blasted the statement.

“This is not an apology,” Cheshire said. “This is another attempt by Mr. Nifong at revisionist history, the same thing he has done with the facts throughout this entire case.”

Nifong disputed Cooper’s assessment of him as a “rogue” prosecutor.

“The fact that I instead chose to seek that review should in and of itself call into question the characterizations of this prosecution as ‘rogue’ and ‘unchecked,’” he wrote.

Good for Joe. We can’t say it directly to Nifong, but Joe can. This is like telling someone it’s nothing personal, but business is business. This is the “remorse” he needs to show to mitigate the sentence from the Bar. Plain and simple. Just like those who think the families should just move on with their lives. After all, it only takes how long to make that million back??? Why, they’ll be living like pashas in a week or two, right???

I want all of this ugliness aired for the entire world to see. I want everyone to see what a lie will do. Kirk Osborn is pushing up daisies, a cop in our town is too. I want everyone in the whole wide frickin’ world to know exactly how to define “scum of the earth” before it’s over. I don’t want him hung, I want him to live with his shame and every potential liar to see what they’ll face — if not in this life, then the next. It’ll be a level playing field then folks — wanna’ dance???
