No, that is a different “industry” to Sharpton and one which he prefers not to touch, since the black element of it is money-making and he can call it something other than it is (i.e., degrading to women “Did I hear some lyrics about rape in there?”, violence-provoking, filty language and all). We will see him dance around the truth and act like it doesn’t matter at all. The only thing that matters to Sharpton is Sharpton. Oh, yes, and getting Imus fired. That’s a big one to him. That puts Sharpton back on the map.

There’s a lot of black people in this country who could care less about Al Sharpton. The media just drag him on the air when they need a “black leader”. Maybe the news media could have some black person on the air other than Al.

Doubt it, most people don’t care.

Most people will just follow along and demand that the government limit speech.

You were saying, “Well, the USSC didn’t make good decisions in the past, so there’s just no hope...”

Please point to the specific verbiage where I said there was no hope. (hint: you can't) Whoosh....another fastball right over your head.....

In case you haven't noticed, Supreme Court Judges are appointed for life. It isn't a political position. Get it?

He just said ‘broad’.
He also said “is” and we have yet to determine what “is” is.

ROTFLMAO!

Hilarious! (But so true as to what this has become.)

Rush has been far from silent on this:

Did anyone catch the black woman attorney screeching on Fox & Friends this morning? I'm surprised she didn't call for the death penalty for Imus. She claimed white comedians bash blacks all the time, however, she couldn't name any. She made a fool of herself.

She didn't need to name any. No one can question her.

Rush looks out for....(guess who)...Rush—he has his own agenda, as do most of us.

He doesn’t see his own freedom of speech related to Imus’s or anyone else’s. He will make hay of whatever comes his way—but to go to a fellow professional’s aid...(these are fellow Marines, BTW), nevah hoppen, GI!

So, when are WE going to do something about it. Do conservatives EVER actually contact sponsors, etc... for boycotts & the sort? After the bile Rosie spews, she’s still unchallenged. We want to blame the legislators (and yep, they’re a problem). But we’re the problem too. Let’s start being the jackbooted thugs the left claims we are.

Imus served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1957 to 1959

Yeah, I was about to say - he is all over the MSM for the fact that they’re calling for Imus’ head and yet they begged to go on his show to promote their books, programs, etc., and politicians were always on during their campaigns. I came away with the impression that he didn’t think Imus should be fired because his program has been like this for years and no one bothered to call him on it before.

And Al? I listen to Rush’s show every day via podcast. I have yet to hear Rush refer to anyone as “Halfrican Americans” (although other listeners may want to set me straight if I am wrong). He’s called Obama “The Magic Negro” based on the use of the expression by an L.A. Times LIBERAL columnist that I didn’t hear your racist butt go after, so as they say, shut the **** up.

And please American media - stop giving this mediawhore air time.

Well, let’s consider one of the less-offensive of the offensive words: “ho”. Now, where did that term come from? From caucasians? No, that can’t be it. From Mexicans? No. I’ll be it’s from the Vietnamese, because they actually have guys named Ho.

Wben Al Sharpton directs his attention toward cleaning up his own peoples’ house, and it actually gets cleaned up, then I might consider having a conversation about what is allowable on the airwaves, but not with a racist grandstander like Al Sharpton.

Rush spoke about Imus this week, but I don’t have 24/7 to pull up the transcripts. What you recall sounds right, though. As for “Halfrican Americans”...wasn’t that also from a news article that Rush read on the air?

I and many others do and have often done so. I'm on several conservative and/or Christian alert lists. I send regular e-mails to companies and my governmental representatives, both federal and local. I write letters to local papers and my school board, too. Sadly, there's just not enough conservatives making the effort. Yet.
