A tangential question is what kind of content will MSNBC use to fill the void? I'm guessing either that fireplace or aquarium tape.

Either would be more entertaining than Imus...for the three people that watch.

Maybe they can rerun shows on who is the father of Anna Nicole Smith’s baby?

One of the young women from Rutgers that he insulted suggested that they play tapes of the highlights of all the Rutgers games.

I thought that was a great suggestion, and a sensible penance.

NBC, MSNBC, CBS radio, Viacom all are in the chain of command of the Don Imus in the Mornining-MSNBC. He signed a contract recently for 5 years. Are we to believe these corporations, as well as frequented visitors such as Tim Russert, Howard Fineman, Gregory, Begala, Carville, John Kerry, Harold Ford, and many, many other democrats, did not know the kind of person Imus is. Did they not know he said outrageous things to all, especially the right, though not in this case. He made his bones for 30 years on saying things which no reasonable person would say simply because they comport themselves in a way which considers others feelings. Not Imus. But they all knew it before the last contract was signed, before the one before that....and it never bothered them....it never crossed their minds....because most of his provocative talk diminsished Christians, conservatives, the Administratin,...and that was A-OK with the media moguls, the democrats. Now comes a complaint, one which could have been made 15 years ago for exactly the same kind of comment, and only because racist Sharpton and racist Jackson said they would have their people boycott the sponsors of MSNBC they decided he was too hot a property.

So which is the greater sin.......Imus insulting college students with racist remarks, or the leadership of MSNBC, Viacom, CBS radio for loving money so much that they provided a forum for a purveyor of racist remarks for 110 -15 years. Imus is being punished, but for the wrong reasons and at the wrong time. The enablers of this type of behavior in the leadership of those companies should be shown the door.

Now we are told to follow the pied piper Sharpton and Jackson on the dogma of racism. They define it, you follow....don't ask questions..just check the first amendment at the door of Mr. Sharpton.
