I have no idea why this particular incident from a man with a history of irreverence and inappropriateness, is the final straw. I stopped listening to him several years ago but those who act as if he has crossed some new line are silly. And those who think these lines are not crossed daily over cable television are sillier yet.

Last night, on a Fox sports show, they went on and on about why Imus should be fired. They then talked about having him on and throwing a pass at this chest (he has lung disease I believe), joking how he wouldn't catch it and implying that it would hurt or kill him. But I guess that's okay with those in charge of good taste.

Really, I can't figure this out either. Fox sports show? Well, as Rush always says sports show hosts are some of the most liberal people out there. I remember that Imus once had a collapsed lung and that's probably what they were referring to, really nasty though. He doesn't deserve to die for his words, for Heaven's sake.

I guess CBS will fire him, too, as one of their board members was a former big wig at the NAALCP.
