The leak was a rumor and as such could be ignored. What bothers me is that he goes out and puts out an official proclamation without first passing this through the chain for the affected family members. Thanks Gates... Some of us would rather have heard this from our FRGs or from command, not from a **** article online...

I agree 100% but I think Gates was just trying to get ahead of the future rampant rumors started by someone in the Pentagon.

My son who is deployed saw it first online...he is not happy camper right now, but it was not totaly unexpected
