If you compare the 2006 Senate bill with the 1986 Simpson-Mazzoli bill, it is remarkable how much of the language is the same.
It's amazing how many of the same people are telling the same exact lie they told in 1986 (Amnesty now, enforcement later). What's more amazing, and very sad, is how many people are buying into that lie today.

Yep. At least people were honest in 1986 and called it Amnesty. Today, the spin is a “back of the line” path to citizenship and paying a fine. The “A” word invokes a violent reaction and claims that this is not Amnesty.
