Harry Reid said yesterday that he would NOT meet with Pres. Bush...who issued an invitation to meet with him next Tuesday at the White House...Pelosi also declined because Bush said he wouldn’t compromise on a timetable for withdrawal..
During today’s WH press briefing..Dana said that Reid’s office did ACCEPT the invitation.
Well...the two leaders got together this afternoon and sent a letter to the WH asking for Pres. Bush to INSTEAD, COME TO THEM on Capitol Hill on Friday!!
During a presser Harry Reid was asked about why they sent that letter, since his office had accepted the invitation.
Reid paused and acted like he couldn’t come up with an answer or was going to cry....and then said that the reason Bush should come to THEM is because...
“the President is isolated...he is isolated from even the Republicans....he is MORE isolated than any POTUS in history, even Richard NIXON, when he was holed up in the White House”....

I accidently listened to Savage for about 5 minutes awhile ago...and I heard him go OFF in President Bush for “abdicating his job”..and how Bush doesn’t care about how the war in Iraq and Afghanistan is going...
I was shocked..then he said something about how he read in National Review that the WaPo had said that Bush was looking for a war czar (that was what they asked at the WH briefing today), so that he wouldn’t have to do his job anymore!!!
