Yeah, this was a horrible exchange. Even though Geraldo made his point that this was about "a drunk driver" and not about immigration, it was clear he's an oversensitive Latino.

Geraldo's wrong. It IS about illegal immigration. This guy has been in and out of police custody for drunk driving, public intoxication, identity theft, 7 times in 6 months and he was known to be an illegal and nothing was done about it. He should have been turned over to INS and deported in October 2006, the first time he was arrested, but he wasn't. Had the local police and magistrates, the courts and the feds done their jobs 2 beautiful young American girls would still be alive.

Whether he was illegal or not, with that criminal record, he should have been off the streets period. Then two beautiful American girls would still be alive. But you are correct in saying that multiple agencies failed in their duties.
