This is getting quite a ways from whether a Mormon should be president or not.

I will not endeavor to make conjecture on the nature of “matter or life” here.

But, I’ll stick with what I said earlier, “ Those who want to believe in supernatural forces, the burden is on them to show how they work.”

If Romney's the GOP nominee, I'll vote for him.

What one considers to be "cult" is really a matter of outlook and values.

And it is more reasonable to "believe all the fables in the Legend, and the Talmud, and the Alcoran, than that this universal frame is without a mind" as Francis Bacon said

Not really. I'm perfectly happy seeing miracles in my life. It doesn't really matter to me whether or not you think they're possible.

The one principle agnostics, et al seem to miss is this: Faith precedes the miracle. Miracles are not given to prove anything.

In other words, if God operates in my life (what I am interpreting from your term "supernatural forces") then it is because it's His will, not mine. If you miss out because you refuse to believe it's possible, well, then, that's your lookout.
