Really that is what my tagline says!
Yes you misspoke. I have no pride in distributing it.
I did help in its distribution however.
>> Actually there are stores that carry books concerned with cults. Perhaps youve visited one. They are called Christian Book Stores.
Correct, all organized religion by definition is a cult :http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/cult
>> In fact I regularly meet with other recovering Mormons who are trying to combat the
>>cultic mentality we were raised in, or fooled into joining.
This can be said of any religion where people are allowed to leave.
>> It takes much of my time, and I find it enjoyable and rewarding. Some people devote
>>their entire lives to this end. They are called Christian missionaries. Perhaps youve
>>heard of something similar?
So are Baptists that spend their time with Recovering Methodists Christian missionaries? How about Catholics that spend their time with recovering Lutherans?
This is such a lipstick on a pig example I am not going to go any further with it for fear Ill get banned.
And therein lies the difference CC. There was no distorting of words. If you were simply "believing in Christian Ministries", or whatever your faith is, you would not be doing a disservice to anyone, least of all Mormons. What you are doing goes well beyond that.
You said:
“Sorry, I have seen to many of your posts and I know how when and why you left the church. Not everyone in the church is like your first husband and you are following a common pattern, you cant get back at him, so ”
Just in case any want to read the letter I sent to Delphi, it is posted on the internet at this site:
http://www.mormondoctrine.net/testimonies/Elizabeth.htm
And with that note, I bid you all a fond adieu.
“I have thousands of these Christian DVD that I could give you so you could help us distribute them to your neighbors, if it would be of help to you.”
“Yes ma’am, and I helped distribute it. “
“Will you also send around twelve year old boys knocking on doors asking for ‘fast offerings.’ They could just give out DVDs while they beg for money.
It’s so hard to say “no” to the cute little tykes...”
“an innocuous little DVD on the door step. Or in my case, my organization MAILED them. How does that cause such devastation amongst the LDS as.....”
“Have you seen the DVD, Did you get a copy?”
>>*I will not play the game of refute every line and lie.
LOL That seems to be your only game, you lie, we refute.
>>Prove that I ever, ever once said on FreeRepublic or ANYWHERE that I was currently
>>an active member. I said my records are in good standing...You said there was no such
>>thing! Bah
If I cared to find the thread I am sure I could you were talking to a couple of people about what the church believes (and getting it wrong) and you kept saying As a member of the church, I know what they teach You did not say As a former member of the church whos name is only on the records because my mother asked me not to have it removed, and left the church over twenty years ago, I think I can still remember what they teach When asked if you were currently a member, you said YES. I said your records would not have you in Good standing if a) the ward clerk was doing his job and b) you had not attended for 20 years. You would in fact be on the inactive list.
>>You must lie and attack the credibility of anyone who disagrees with your faith.
Disagreement I can handle, I can agree to disagree. The fact that I have friends of many denominations proves that. But when someone makes it their hobby to destroy the faith of active members I must fight that person like they were Satan incarnate for they are doing his work.
>>I know nothing about your personal life except that you are young, took a great deal of time to decide to get married and are not so happy about your decision, or your wife.
You have me confused with someone else. I am 41 (which is not OLD, but not young either, got engaged to my wife within a week of our first date, and am exceedingly happily married.
>>Too bad you are sealed for eternity....perhaps you can get that little matter resolved.
>>Marie Osmond did.
If you are right, I am not really sealed for all time and eternity anyway, correct?
I know I am, and nothing could make me happier. As for Marie, I am not responsible for her choices.
Neither is Dirty Harry.
She is vain I heard that years ago when she was producing the Sound of Music!
Very Prime Madonna like to work for!
For the record, I don’t like Donny either.
Two peas in a pod.
CC, I apologize if I went to far with the military thing. I just felt that a warning was in order because of the path you were going down on with that post.
Thank you for you and your families service to this great nation!
>>I view someone distorting my words in order to show me as doing a disservice to
>>people of faith serving the great country as an attack.
While I was in Taiwan on my mission, I learnt a saying, I will do my best to translate it for you. I am a wise man and cannot be insulted, for I recognize truth and bow to it and ignore lies I have found of FR if I reacted to every personal sleight I would never get the time to eat. I this case CC its not about you, OK? Im sure you make a wonderful grandmother, good neighbor; you might even be a good cook (Its hard to tell on a forum such as this). What bothers me is you say things that denigrate my faith, you are willing to go to any lengths to injure the faith of others and worst of all you denigrate Christians in the name of Christ. You honestly think that Jesus would have you destroy the faith of someone professing faith in him, so that maybe they would join another Christian church? Seriously do you honestly believe that?
>>I will just state publicly that I am thankful to every single serviceman or
>>servicewoman for doing their duty with honor for our great nation, regardless of color,
>>gender, creed or race.
On this point and emotion, I cannot agree with you more. As I travel for my work, I make it a point to personally thank every serviceman I see in the airports. It is little enough, and I can only think of how our solders were treated during Vietnam with shame, even though I was but a tyke at the time.
>>You all can continue throwing mud at me. It really doesnt matter.
Ah but it does, I have never thrown mud, only arrows of truth.
You know as well as I that opposition unanswered is consent.
I do not agree with your slander of a good man who was murdered for his faith, yes for all the good men and women who have died in that faith, the faith of your fathers, the faith of your family, and yes, my faith. You know somewhere deep in your heart that what you do here is wrong, but you do it anyway and that is why your posts are so shrill.
You can leave the church, but you just cant leave the church alone.
Just like in the Book of Mormon those Nephites who apostatized and went over to the Lamanites were the most hardened of all the disbelievers of the gospel.
>>Yes Delphi, I do and I did.
God have mercy on your soul.
Yeah and OJ is still looking for the murderer.
John D. Lee was executed for his part in the Murder by firing squad. He did blame Brigham Young at his execution. I find it telling that he didn't apologize for murderiung men, women and children. As his descendant, I don't fault you for believeing the wild conspiracy theory part of the story. But it's been debunked. His conspiracy theory dates were impossible.
We all know murderers willl tell the absolute truth. /sarc
Shot in a legal firing squad by Mormons for his murder.
Utah is the only state which still allows execution by firing squad. People can say what they want about Utah but its got some things right.
Mitts wife Ann was raised Episcopalian before she became Mormon. She talks about it on Mitt TV. I can't remember which section, probably the "our story" or get to us part or something or other.
Tantiboh,
Re Post #429. Thanks for your additions to the discussion. It is considered good Freeper form to ping and include those you are discussing in your post.

Go back and re-read the purpose of this forum.
Parralell logic would be....
"I'm still registered as a Democrat in good standing but am really Republican"
Your records are still in good standing because you don't have the courage to ask for them to be removed. Posting the temple garment and words is grounds for excommunication. You post anonymously on an open thread. Take your posts to your local Bishop and see what he has to say about it. You may not see the hypocrisy in your opposite stance in Public and a Private forum but others do.
