I had to do a double take to make sure I was reading the WaPo editorial and not one from the Wash. Times. Wow...that’s all I’ve got to say!

She will return grinning like a skunk eating manure and say what a great success her mission has been and pointing out that she succeeded where the President failed and the rest of the Dhimmies will say what a great queen she is.
Nothing will have changed. Except the Syrians will have had a good laugh at this clown faced woman.

The last line of the second paragraph is a humdinger.

I agree! Their editorials have been sliding right for the last year or two. What’s going on here?? Some brilliant Rovian strategy? I bet Rove put Nancy up to the trip just to make her look silly in a scarf!

This modern day Jezebel wants to take away all of the president’s authority and power with her office.

Perhaps one reason might be related to the August 18,1920 ratification of the nineteenth amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America, and the inability of the various states to see beyond 1920. It only took 87 years, not counting the push for ERA, and now we face the possibility of a potential female President as well.
Women who fail to see the importance of rearing generation upon generation of honorable and brave men and women of high moral character, have lost sight of their real power and value. Plus they stand to inherit all of their overworked husband’s wealth upon his death. What in God’s holy name would drive them to reach for more?
Oh I can’t wait to hear (so to speak) the responses to this one. Should I put on my fireproof panties? Would it help?

One other point of note, she travels halfway round the world, to visit the Syrian Thug, but can’t be bothered traveling another hour or so to Bahgdad, to visit the troops. Hmmmm? Not that they would necessarily benefit or even appreciated the visit, but I did notice.

The really striking development here is the attempt by a Democratic congressional leader to substitute her own foreign policy for that of a sitting Republican president. Two weeks ago Ms. Pelosi rammed legislation through the House of Representatives that would strip Mr. Bush of his authority as commander in chief to manage troop movements in Iraq. Now she is attempting to introduce a new Middle East policy that directly conflicts with that of the president. We have found much to criticize in Mr. Bush's military strategy and regional diplomacy. But Ms. Pelosi's attempt to establish a shadow presidency is not only counterproductive, it is foolish.Make my day, WP.

I love this. Tough to trump truth in all its glory. I promise I’m not engaging in schadenfreude.
...did she think it would help her rather steep learning curve as the speaker of the House to travel outside the United States, insert herself into a terrifically delicate diplomatic situation, and make a complete and total ass of herself?
