Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani on Wednesday said everything has to be considered if the United States wants to break its reliance on foreign oil, including more drilling off Florida's coast.
Calling the energy supply a major domestic problem, Giuliani said the nation needs to focus on nuclear power production and renewable energy sources. In the meantime it also needs to see what oil can be tapped, he said.
"Energy independence means everything has to be open for discussion," Giuliani said when asked about offshore drilling. "The idea of having more oil under our command, so to speak, or within our orbit probably for some period of time is going to be important. The ultimate goal, however, should be renewable sources of energy."

I've read pigs have corkscrew shaped male genetalia. Is that what a helicopeter is?
If you look closely, you’ll see these ‘I love Rudy’ threads come in waves, one after the other... then, its quiet time for a tactical retreat back to wideawakes, or wherever, to coordinate their next wave.
“Hopefully a pro-life candidate will also support drilling off FL and in ANWR.”
WHO?
The ones who aren’t running and if they were, they would be beaten to a pulp by Hillary? Please explain to me how a loser can set policy?
Excellent!
Fantastic!
Ideal.
What a horribly racist thing to say! First, why do you throw in that "different race" comment? Are you like those liberals that push abortion on minority races?
I'm one of those "anti-abortion" zealots you speak of with such derision. I can honestly say that if I were brutally raped, by someone of my own race or not - I would have the baby. Why would I punish the innocent baby for the rapist's crime? You just don't get it, do you?
When something is murder, it's murder across the board. Two wrongs don't make a right. Good things can happen out of something bad and I believe God put us on this earth to make the best of the hand we're dealt.
When you understand what motivates us who are against abortion - you will start to understand why we can't tolerate the thought of Rudy Guiliani being our Republican candidate - it goes against every grain in our being.
Then why waste your time here with the 10% of FR who support a candidate you won’t vote for no matter what? Be pro-active and go on a thread that supports your candidate.
You just don’t get it, do you?
The main reason the Republican Congress didn’t achieve much, was because they were obstructed at every step by the Democrats — so what did the “good conservatives” do, rewarded the Democrats for their obstruction and handed them power of Congress.
Your are so fixated on Hillary that you have sold your soul to the devil to prevent her from winning.
Oh I see. Freepers are only supposed to go to threads where everyone agrees with each other? Riiiggghhtttt...
Quotas are easy.
Persuasion is hard.
That may be, but i know Areafiftyone (at least under that name or any ncik I can attach) is not involved, and she is a primary poster of rudy threads.
But yeah, they do come over in waves. Typical of an attack-dog, coordinated style.
You just dont get it, do you?

Oh I see.....................
Well as long as you have someone to blame..........
These polls mean absolutely nothing this early in the game.
If that doesn'tt work, try to trash the candidate
Pointing out the facts about Rudy's liberal positions isn't "trashing" him.
You want everyone to agree with you, like you all do at WideA@@es?
BTW, the last several polls on FR indicate rudy gets around 10% support at best. Sucks, eh, dude?
Excellent. This is just excellent. I’m so glad Rudy spoke about this. And the timing couldn’t be better with the British hostages and the obvious fear the West has of alienating Arab countries because we rely on their oil.
BS.
Please explain to me how a loser can set policy?
Please explain how election of a liberal would set conservative policy?
I think Rudy WILL make a great president — he is a problem solver, willing to tackle the impossible, as he did in NY, and solve the problem, no matter how difficult it is.
This is exactly the leader we need in today’s times, not some Democrat who will surrender us to the terrorists, right after he/she would beat some “fine, principled” opponent into the ground.
The Republican congressmen who lost last fall were more liberal than the party.
Just like Rudy.
Which part of Giuliani’s energy policy, as outlined in this article, do you object to?
