Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani on Wednesday said everything has to be considered if the United States wants to break its reliance on foreign oil, including more drilling off Florida's coast.
Calling the energy supply a major domestic problem, Giuliani said the nation needs to focus on nuclear power production and renewable energy sources. In the meantime it also needs to see what oil can be tapped, he said.
"Energy independence means everything has to be open for discussion," Giuliani said when asked about offshore drilling. "The idea of having more oil under our command, so to speak, or within our orbit probably for some period of time is going to be important. The ultimate goal, however, should be renewable sources of energy."

It’s pandering, but you wouldn’t catch that.
Well you know that I agree with you 100%. The Rudy I know doesn’t take crap from anybody. I just hope age hasn’t mellowed him :-)
Snatorum is a liberal?!!!!!!!
daaaaa! isn't’t that what I just said in the post you’re responding to?
“The Rudy I know doesnât take crap from anybody. I just hope age hasn’t mellowed him “
Doesn’t look like it. He was great on Hannity the other day — a real leader, just what we need. :)
You know what cracks me up about this forum? This was the place that largely wanted Alan Keyes as their guy in 2000. LOL. That didn’t work out too well for them then and it’s not working out too well for them now. They’re seeing themselves marginalized every week and it’s freaking a lot of people out.
You know what cracks me up?
You Rudy supporters POSTING on a conservative discussion Forum.
Why don't you guys start your own RudyRepublic.com website?
You constantly complain about FR, but are still here. It’s very similar to battered spouse syndrome. Go ask your shrink husband about that one. You know, the one who won’t “allow” you to donate to FR.
What kind of spouse won’t “allow” another to do anything, btw?
Thanks for the great job you’re doing, areafiftyone. I’m sorry that the Rudy threads devolve into such ugliness by the Rudy haters. Their charges get more inflammatory by the day and you handle it with grace and kindness.
Reagan-esqe man.
My husband isn’t a shrink and no man would want his wife financially supporting a site where men are permitted to speak to woman the way some of the freepers here have been permitted to do.
But carry on with your he-man act. Most of us know what you are and it’s ugly and maladjusted.
They have one, that’s where they coordinate their FR attacks from!
Don't believe in equality, eh?
Wrongggggg! Just pointing out that you’re beating a dead horse here. We’re only at 10% at FR and it seems that with all the energy being spent on these pro-Rudy threads could be used to light a fire under the candidate(s) of your choice. Just common sense.
And every single bit of it is true fact. It says alot about the candidate in question.
I don’t know who Snatorum is, but Santorum was a Senator.
Just think of it as debate training for us, and don’t worry your little head about others do. You’ll be better off that way, junior.
Why do you refer to "this forum" in the third person?
You're still a member, donchaknow.
Before I call it a night, let me add that I find it quite amusing that most of these maladjusted freepers spend more time bashing all the candidates. The only ones they support are those who either a) haven’t announced; or b) don’t stand a chance of winning.
Now, I don’t know about you, but that doesn’t sound like a winning strategy and it certainly doesn’t sound like they actually support the GOP in any fashion.
Also, most of these people are the same ones who thought Alan Keyes should be our nominee in 2000 and called Bush a cokehead, so you can see that their political sense isn’t exactly in sinc with the rest of the country. Thank goodness.
