"AUSTIN — The first prayer ever by a Muslim cleric in the Texas Senate will be delivered today — outraging some conservatives because it is occurring just before Easter. The invocation will be delivered by the Imam Yusuf Kavakci of the Dallas Central Mosque at the invitation of state Sen. Florence Shapiro, R-Plano. Shapiro is Jewish."

Texas has not been the same Texas that we have heard about in the last couple years. I thought it was a pretty conservative area. Maybe they are only good on Death Penalty and 2nd Amendment, but going liberal on everything else.

Jihadist are not radical muslims, they are following their book, the koran. All muslims are supposed to follow the same rules and kill infidels. If you bother to read it you would know that. That is why most muslims don’t openly(or covertly either)condem the Islamofacists, because they know they are following the book. We are at war with Islam and the sooner we wipe it from the face of the earth, the better.

“We are at war with a very vocal minority who have hijacked an ultra-fundamentlist reading of the Qu’aran to justify their bloodlust.”

Spoken like someone that has never read the quaran:
surah 2:191,193
surah 9:29
surah 5:51
surah 9:12

Ah yes, the battle cry of the Keyboard Crusader. Tell me, are you planning on going out and killing Muslims, or are you just waiting for someone else to do it for you?

The only problem I have with it is that we’re only bending over for these people because they threaten us. It’s the wrong message.

The Crusades were an effort to win back territory that had belonged to Christians before the muslim fanatics rode down and slaughtered everyone and took it away from the Christians, they were not an effort to convert muslims simply because they wanted them to be Christian, the Christians wanted their land back, this is a fact and can be verified by any good history about the Crusades.

The Christians are NOT beheading anyone now, when was the last time you saw a Christian post a beheading on a web site? When is the last time you saw a Christian, Jew, Hindu, or Buddists blow up a bunch of people with a suicide belt while screaming out their God's name? What Christians might have done in the 100 years war has nothing to do with what they do today.

The muslims on the other hand are killing and slaughtering TODAY, here and now in the name of their God, their book demands they do this. The ordinary Muslims condone it because they know in their hearts this is what they should all be doing. They have not changed or mellowed since their idiotic religion began and they will never change because their book tells them to kill or conver(and killing is the preferred method because after all you can't trust a convert).

" We most certainly are not at war with Islam. We are at war with a very vocal minority who have hijacked an ultra-fundamentlist reading of the Qu'aran to justify their bloodlust. The terrorists we fight are as much nihilists as they are Islamic."

My God, have you ever been sucked in by the "moderate muslim" B.S.

Why don't you PROVE your assertions by showing us where we call all view this "peaceful" Koran? Everywhere I've looked, every "approved" edition of the Koran and hadith say the same thing. there is nothing "peaceful" in it's message. It is a war manual describing how to conquer the enemy.

What is it about-

Ishaq:208 "When Allah gave permission to his Apostle to fight, the second Aqaba contained conditions involving war which were not in the first act of submission. Now we bound themselves to war against all mankind for Allah and His Apostle. He promised us a reward in Paradise for faithful service. We pledged ourselves to war in complete obedience to Muhammad no matter how evil the circumstances."

That you do not understand? perhaps you should actually pick up the "holy Scriptures" of Islam and study them before you make such rediculous statements that cannot be proven no matter how much you try.

Qur'an:8:12 "Your Lord inspired the angels with the message: ‘I am with you. Give firmness to the Believers. I will terrorize the unbelievers. Therefore smite them on their necks and every joint and incapacitate them. Strike off their heads and cut off each of their fingers and toes."

Qur'an:8:39 "So, fight them till all opposition ends and the only religion is Islam."

Qur'an:8:7 "Allah wished to confirm the truth by His words: ‘Wipe the infidels out to the last.'"

You may want to research the rules of abrogation before you lamely attempt to insert passages out of order of revelation. The ninth sura is the last, and it instructs Mulims to war until the last day.

The 2004 Republican National Convention had a Muslim Imam give its first invocation, on its opening day (30 Aug) in New York City. Political correctness and liberal "diversity" run amok - along with the possible machinations of liberal pro-abort Rudy Giuliani - had former black nationalist Nation of Islam member, Sunni Muslim, Imam Izak-El M. Pasha, the first Muslim NYPD Chaplain ever (appointed by Giuliani in 1999), giving the opening prayer to allah.

"hat disgusts most Muslims as much as any Christian. "Christians" did it too, for instance, during the Crusades"

Your understanding of the crusades seems to be just as warped as your undertanding of Islam. The Crusades against the mohammadans were a defensive measure agianst the Mohammadan crusades, where they slaughtered their victims everywhere they invaded, unlike the Christian crusaders who spared them. Islam is the single largest murderer of mankind in the worlds history, next to athiests like Stalin, Hitler, etc.

We are at war with Islam and the sooner we wipe it from the face of the earth, the better.

How is your position different than that of the Nazis position towards Judaism?

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. (Ephesians 6:12-13 KJV)

Our battle with Islam is a spiritual battle and our weapons are spiritual weapons. Our goal should not be to kill them, but to convert them. Our position should not be to end their lives, but to offer to them eternal life through Christ, our Lord.

As a matter of self preservation we must identify and take out the terrorists, but not every Muslim is a terrorist and not every Muslim is out to kill or conquer us. Most are just looking to better their lives and to provide a stable environment for their children (Palestinians excepted).

Just in case you missed it down in Texas - we are our own worst enemies.

I checked the town out and it looks like most officials there are Christians.

Actually, I will do my best to inform those who are woefully ignorant of the threat we face, as well as support those leaders who realize that it is time to fight back against a religion that advocates murder and conversion by the sword (not to mention the intolerance toward non-muslims,gays, and women advocated by the un-holy koran). BTW, what's wrong with being a Crusader? Using that word to insult someone is akin to the idiots on the left using the word "cowboy" as an insult...

"Actually there are a lot of passages in the Old Testament that suggest that the same treatment should be given to Muslims and other heathen tribes and cultures."

Actually there aren't. Plus, are you a Christian? If so, then you had better adhere to the new covanent, not the old one, as you as instructed by the Lord to do. Too many "Christians" take the "old laws" and not only misinterpret it, they apply it to themselves.

BTW, comparing our struggle for survival against a cultish religion that advocates wiping out an entire race (the Jews) with the Nazis is ignorant.

Thank you. Replace the word “Muslim” in this thread with “Jewish” or “Catholic” and we’re right back in the 30’s.

Oh really. Christian's and Jews were doing this in the thirties?

I think you should direct that to the person who wrote it.

I’m on your side. Unlike some here, I am well studied on Islam, and am not under any silly delusions that Islam has been “hijacked” by “fundamentalists”.
These extremists are just following what the Koran teaches, they are the “good’ Muslims, while the so called “moderates” are their enablers, the pathmakers that establish a beach head and provide cover for the Mujahedin (holy fighters, aka terrorists, suicide bombers etc.)

Actually there aren't.

I have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them: neither did I turn again till they were consumed. I have wounded them that they were not able to rise: they are fallen under my feet. For thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle: thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me. Thou hast also given me the necks of mine enemies; that I might destroy them that hate me. They cried, but there was none to save them: even unto the LORD, but he answered them not. Then did I beat them small as the dust before the wind: I did cast them out as the dirt in the streets. (Psalms 18:37-42 KJV)

Plus, are you a Christian? If so, then you had better adhere to the new covanent, not the old one, as you as instructed by the Lord to do.

Part of the "New Covenant" is the command to love your enemies, forgive them, do good to those who persecute you." It is hardly consistent with the "New Covenant" to suggest wiping every Muslim from the face of the earth.

Too many "Christians" take the "old laws" and not only misinterpret it, they apply it to themselves.

I did not suggest that Christians are to follow those verses which suggest that it is OK to bash the heads of heathen children against rocks, however those verses are in the Old Testament and the Israelites were indeed commanded by God to do those very deeds against the enemies of God. It is a part of the Judeo/Christian history and it remains a part of our sacred and inspired Holy Scriptures.

Are you suggesting that God did not so command the Israelites to kill the Amelekite children?
