I don't think he gives any politician a pass for long, nor should he; too many of them are really not the best people, to put it mildly...really mildly.
Like any form of entertainment, if it does not appeal to you, find something else. Savage does a funny show but it rubs a lot of people the wrong way.

When Savage asked him, "So how long ago did your wife leave you", that was the last straw.
