No kidding about VT and Maine too, there are several places over the years (especially in VT) where i have been hiking or on 4 x 4 paths and slipped accidentally across the border, once as far as 5 miles into Canada...NOBODY stopped me either way...it is a problem. Hope their numbers up here grow so they can stretch to areas in VT and ME at some point.
My husband knew someone who grew up right near the Maine border—I can’t remember the name of the town—and this person would go hunting in Maine all the time. I don’t know if it was on purpose or an accident.
