I can sure understand why you wouldn’t want to move away from your family. Guess you have to take the good with the bad then. I’m thankful that we don’t have issues like that where we live.

Good luck on your house hunting. Is it possible that some HOA’s aren’t as nit-picky as others? Years ago my sister lived in a home that was under the rules of a HOA. They couldn’t even leave their garage door open unless they were taking something in or out of it.

Heck, it's possible for the HOA to vary. The fascism level of our current one ebbs and flows depending on who's sitting on it at any given moment.

Currently we're in an easy cycle, so I can take my garbage out for Tuesday-morning pick-up before bedtime Monday night. (When we moved in, the garbage couldn't be out overnight, and the trash men show up at seven in the freakin' morning.)
