If he is in solitary for PUNISHMENT, then I could understand the “no reading” order.

But isn’t he there for his own protection? So why is this other order being enforced?

Congress should investigate this nonsense. Patrick Leahy (chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee) should ask Gonzales about it.

I could import drugs across the border and sell them on the streets of LA, and get probation.

This looks like another example of the DOJ acting like a bureaucratic bully. (And I could give several other examples.)

Yeah, and it seems to be happening more and more. I would say Bush should've cleaned the DOJ out (along with the State Dept) and replaced it with true Conservatives but the way he's been acting on this issue I'm not so sure he wanted to in the first place.
