Personally, I think the Logan Act should have been consistently enforced from the time it was signed through today, but it wasn't. So don't blame the current administration for the failings of its predecessors.

Though no prosecution have been brought under the Act, it has been used as a point of challenge on numerous cases,
and has withstood attempts by mostly (guess) Democrats to have it modified or stricken from the books.
