White House Criticizes Pelosi's Trip to Syria March 30, 2007

ABC News' Jonathan Karl Reports: At today's White House briefing, Deputy Press Secretary Dana Perino strongly criticized Pelosi's planned visit Syria, saying, "We think it is a really bad idea."

"People should take a stop back and think about the message it sends and the message it sends to our allies," Perino added.

Perino said she did not know if anybody in the administration had spoken directly to Pelosi to discourage the trip.

No surprise here; ever since John Kerry (rewarded by, of all things, being elected and re-elected a US Senator), and his entourage set the precedent, it's standard procedure for democrats to collaborate with enemy. They call it patriotism.

"People should take a stop back and think about the message it sends and the message it sends to our allies," Perino added.

The message it sends is the same one over and over: the Rats
can always be counted on to work with the enemies of America
if they see a potential political advantage in doing so.
Ted Kennedy - Soviet Union, John Kerry - North Vietnam, Cuba, Nicaragua, and on and on....

Just revoke her passport so she can't reenter the US.

"Let her go without executive accommodations."

That won't happen. She thinks she's the queen and should be treated as such.

Maybe she is just going to visit Alois Brunner.

Escaping denazification through a "ratline" organized by Catholic bishop Alois Hudal [3], he then worked after the war for the Gehlen Org funded by the CIA [1]. He then fled Germany only in 1954, on a fake Red Cross passport, first to Egypt and then to Syria, where he took the pseudonym of Georg Fischer. In Syria, he was allegedly hired as a "government advisor" — with some suggesting he was advising the Syrian dictatorship on torture and repression techniques. Syria has constantly refused entry to French investigators as well as to Nazi hunter Serge Klarsfeld who spent nearly 15 years bringing the case to court in France. Simon Wiesenthal also unsuccessfully tried to trace him.

This trip to Syria just shows how fricken naive she is. Does she really think that visiting there can help the US at all?? On the other hand, it can do a great deal of damage. But no, she has to go over there like she's going to save the world. I don't think I've been this mad in a long while.

In a way, this validates the Greater Fool theory. No matter how foolishly liberals deal with Iran & Syria, an even bigger liberal fool can always be found somewhere. It's very unforunate that this fool is the Speaker of the US House. I'm astounded by Peolsi's decision to start unauthorized talks with Syria.

Pelosi knows that it harms the US. Therefore she is going to Syria. She is not naive. She is knowlingy harming the USA. She is a traitor and should be treated as such.

If that's the case, then I agree with you - she should be charged with treason.

This can turn out well. Keep in mind that the Dems know the surge is working. There is decreased violence and news of it can't be kept from the public much longer.

So the plan of the Dems not to be destroyed by victory can unfold like so:

"I have been to Syria and FINALLY someone from the US with rational thought has spoken to them. I believe the Syrians will now take the necessary action to cut off support to the insurgents and therefore violence will decrease. I believe there is thus reason to believe that our forces will be at diminished risk and we can safely approve this funding -- and to avoid future Constitutional difficulties, we will not insist on a deadline BUT . . . if there is no progress this year, we will cut off funding next year. The results of our trip, I am told, have already shown results in just the last few days as violence is reducing.

But regardless, the Administration is on notice of this. We will ALLOW it to proceed one more year because of the success of our trip to Syria. But if there is no progress by next year, we shut off funding completely."

Dems being elitists think that their superior intellect & by themselves directly engaging the enemy THEY can work things out. Bush must be getting really peeved by now with Dems. He knows what NEEDS be done. Why do you think he is amassing the greatest invasion Armanda since D-Day surrounding IRAN???? You guys know the answer & what's COMING to IRAN REAL SOON. Yup MISS SHOCK & AWE HERSELF.

She's going to THANK her favorite allies for all of their help.....maybe perform a "Monica" for Assad and some of his terrorist cronies........ just think, no Syria and Iran fueling the terrorism in Iraq, the 'Rats did not have a prayer in '06 (and would not have one in '08) -- Baby Assad is a great, valued ally of our Demagogues, sad to say, and it's all at the expense of the lives of our troops, innocent Iraqis, and our standing in the world.
