I respect anyone's personal choices. I am just suprised that this rather minor contretemps caused a flip in the French Vicomte.

I understand your surprise. I was a bit taken aback myself. I think for those of us who know Paris very well, this incident, while seemingly minor on the surface, is symbolic of the way problems of this nature have been managed in the past, and would be dealt with by (God forbid) a Socialist President like Royal.

I think the incident points up the weakness of a so-called Centrist like Bayrou, who is essentially weak, obviously lacking the strength of character necessary to handle these problems.

As M. le Vicomte stated very well, it seems like Sarko's time has come.
