Steve Forbes Joins Giuliani Campaign

Steve Forbes, former Republican presidential candidate, President and Chief Executive Officer of Forbes, and Editor-in-Chief of Forbes magazine has endorsed Rudy Giuliani for President of the United States. Mr. Forbes will serve as a National Campaign Co-Chair and Senior Policy Advisor:

“I am honored to support Rudy Giuliani for President,” Steve Forbes said. “As Mayor of New York City, Rudy Giuliani showed how exercising fiscal discipline – including tax cuts – lowers deficits, spurs economic growth, and increases revenue. It is time the rest of the country benefit from a true fiscal conservative leader who gets real results.”

“Steve and I share an economic vision that embraces supply-side economics, tax relief, and spending restraint,” said Mayor Giuliani. “I look forward to working with Steve and am proud to have him as a member of our team.”

Nice addition, as those of us who value economic liberty certainly look to Mr. Forbes as a leader on that front.

Kerik didn't pay nanny taxes, and didn't validate the immigration status of his nanny. the "warrant for his arrest" relates to an appearance failure in a civil case regarding someone who did work on his house, for which payment was in dispute. and he had an issue with accepting a gift from a firm doing business with the city, a violation of the NYC charter.

Do you believe you are making an argument that makes any sense?

You're the one who says I want Rudy to have superpowers to vet Kerik when the media outed him in a week. Who is failing to make sense?

Are you really saying that the Bush Administration and the Federal agencies (FBI, CIA, NSA, etc) OKed Kerik to such a sensitive post without investigation because Giuliani's vouched for him

Oh, the agencies swung into action after Bush nominated him.

Because if you believe that of the Bush Administration you should call for Bush' immediate impeachment for gross negligence in violating his oath to protect and defend.

Funny, I would think the guy who pushed the corrupt crony for the job should be found unfit to be president. The Bush Admin did their job and booted him.

Thanks for making my case for me.

And there were many other allegations, including the one working through the system now that he lied on his application.

I made your case for you in that same other dimension you inhabit where Hunter gets elected President.

Sorry to inform you that I also support Fred's entry into the race if Hunter doesn't gain traction. You know, the guy who whomped 13 points off Rudy's poll numbers without even entering the race.

Was away.............on vacation; went to visit family and had a great time. We left in a storm storm and was doing a family prebirthday celebration on the beach, with temps in the 80s! :-)

I've always liked Steve Forbes; especially his flat tax proposition! I'm very much a fiscal Conservative.

"Seems like everyone who despises George W. Bush, hates Social Conservatives, and believes Bush to be the worst President ever is on board the Rudy train."

False. I for one am very pro-Bush and pro=Guiliani. Bush's great strength has been his visionary leadership. His great weakness has been his inability to oppose domestic enemies effectively. We need a streetfighter this time around--someone who will use the levers of power to crush the opposition on the left. There's only one candidate who understands how to do this--Guiliani.

I'll bet i pay more in income tax, even with the shelters, than you take in.

I can't say I've ALWAYS liked him, but I agree with the flat tax idea.

Ted Olsen is a "moron"?

He's obviously a whole lot more intelligent than you are.

I know this will go right over your pointy little head dirtboy, but for the lurkers, let me make clear that what we were discussing upthread with regard to the country's financial solvency was the rapid slide to socialism. My posts tonight about this matter have zero to do with the national debt which is an entirely different matter altogether.

Which proves my earlier point also that there is a certain segment here that doesn't have money and it's no small wonder if, like you, people couldn't figure out the difference between a discussion about socialism and a different discussion about the national debt.

Carry on in your ignorance. I shall look for more little gems from you when I return.

Ted Olson is a moron. It was his wife, Barbara, who was smart. Just because he has been elevated to high positions, does not equate him to her intelligence.

Irony bump

Like you knew either one of them, dullard. I don't suppose you have any pedigree (other than ankle-biter) to slander General Olson with your nattering?

Nah, you were making apologies for deficit spending. Now you say fiscal responsibility is a big deal. Your values blow in the wind.

Unlike you, I know how to do Google searches. That one popped up after a minute's purview. You've got plenty of others downplaying Bush's deficit spending over the years.
