There really is no other logical or plausible explanation. Nobody is going to knowingly run a bag with a gun in it through the X-Ray machine at the Capitol building. Sure there is. What if your boss thought himself above the law and told him not to worry about it as the Capitol cops would let him thru?

Well if Jim Webb's fingerprints are on the magazines, he can't get out of that one. The Magazines, unlike the handgun, will easily maintain the integrity of the fingerprint. A print can easily be lifted from them, whereas the handun would be much harder to do.

Nah, doesn't make sense to me. Otherwise, you'd have a quote from the security saying "Thompson indicated that Webb told him we'd let him through". If you thought you were above the law, would that not be your first response to the cops(do you know who I AM!?!). Not likely that Webb gave it to him and said it was no big deal and they would let him through. Seriously, that makes no sense.

Irrespective whether he intentionally gave the gun to the aid, the fact is that it's illegal to even have a gun like that in your possession in DC, much less loaded.
Looks like Webb is going to be some inmate's "girlfriend."
